Suprapubic catheter
ASTER’s Suprapubic Catheters are used to provide drainage following open renal or bladder surgeries. Malecot wings are employed to provide enhanced drainage and to improve catheter retention. Suprapubic Catheters provide maximum softness for enhanced patient comfort and provide an extremely good alternative to latex catheters. Suprapubic Catheters can directly puncture through the skin into a kidney thus avoiding the separate insertion, firstly of a needle and then of the catheter.
ASTER’s Suprapubic Catheters are supplied in sterile, peel-open packages and are intended for one time use only. The catheters are made of Polyurethane. The color is blue.
